Recent Honors & Awards
- As an exceptional educator and Council for Children Ambassador Dr. Moore was recently invited to be a guest announcer for the Pinellas County Schools 2019 “Yes I can Award”ceremony. This award is given by CEC Suncoast Chapter 176, Ditek, and the Pinellas Education Foundation to Exceptional Education Students throughout Pinellas County by acknowledging students for their exceptional accomplishments in one of the chosen areas: academics, art, athletics, community service, employment, extra-curricular activity, independent living skills, self-advocacy, and/or technology.
- Dr. Moore recently became the President of the Florida Division of Children with Behavior Disorders (FLCCBD).
- Most recently, the State of Florida honored Dr. Moore as the award recipient of the 2018 Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE).
- She was also the award nominee for the Dr. Landis M. Stetler Memorial Award by the Florida Council for Exceptional Children for her dedication, commitment, and service at the 71st Annual State Conference.
- In this same year, The University of South Florida St. Petersburg College of Education, awarded Dr. Moore with the 2018 Service Award.
- In addition, the USF St. Petersburg Ambassadors Golden Apple Award was presented to her on November 30, 2018. This award recognizes Dr. Moore for her commitment and dedication to student success.
- Dr. Moore was the recipient of the 2018 Dr. Eleanor Guetzloe Award for her direct support, teaching, mentoring and guidance of troubled youth.
